Keeley's teacher, Ms. Vicki, shared this story with me today when I picked Keeley up from school.
Keeley was sitting in class when Ms. Vicki asked the question to the children "What does the heart do in the body?" Keeley raised her 3-year old hand and was eager to answer.
Ms. Vicki said to her "Yes, Keeley, what does the heart do?"
Keeley responded "It loves!"
What a beautiful story to hear! Sometimes you just can't imagine how you could love your children any more than what you already do - as if you're sure your heart will burst from all of the love and joy it contains. Then they smile at you, touch your face, say the most adorable thing or run into your arms saying "I missed you!" and somehow your heart expands even greater to allow for the joy and the love to keep on growing! Yes... what an amazing thing the heart does!
